Lead

We have many opportunities for you and your organization to lead and advocate, bridging the gap for elders, families, and communities as we support strategies to address the changing face of aging in Oregon and beyond.

Here are some of the programs that we offer:

TIES THAT BIND – GRANDPARENTS RAISING GRANDCHILDREN PROGRAM

JFRF is confronting issues impacting grandparents raising grandchildren head on with our new initiative, “Ties That Bind.” This program is JFRF’s response to the growing issue of grandparents who find themselves unexpectedly raising grandchildren.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND INDIVIDUAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT

One of the cornerstones of our activities is providing technical assistance nationally to state and national governmental agencies and other organizations. JFRF advocates and supports affordable care options, quality assurance efforts, appropriate regulatory oversight and training.

HOUSING WITH SERVICES COLLABORATIVE

JFRF is developing a new model of housing with health related and social services for seniors that utilizes existing resources, unites local partners and engages mission-driven community members.

ADVOCACY

JFRF empowers communities by educating individuals and organizations so they can use their collective voice to raise awareness around issues affecting them.

INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAM

Our Intergenerational Program aims to bring community youth and older adults together in purposeful, mutually beneficial activities and initiatives by promoting a greater understanding and respect between generations.

SPANISH LANGUAGE CAREGIVER TRAINING PROGRAM

JFRF is in the development stages of this new and exciting program to help improve eldercare services to older adults and their caregivers living in remote and developing areas.

SERVICE RECOGNITION AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

JFRF understands the importance of recognizing and supporting those who work and focus on issues affecting older adults. For more than a decade, we have given service awards to individuals working directly with older adults. Additionally, we have given scholarships to more than 300 university students who have participated in our service learning programs. We believe experience will help these students to become leaders in gerontology and geriatric care in the future.
